Mangled Yarn

Neil trained as an actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has been a proffesional actor for more years than her can care to remember. He has worked as an actor all over the Globe, from UK regional touring, to touring across the USA, and even as far East as Hong Kong. It was under the guidance of fellow theatre company The Pantaloons, of which he is an Associate Artist, that he both met and worked with Chris, as well as honing his skills in comedy, multi-roling and audience particiaption.

Christopher is an actor/musician and theatre maker from the Midlands. After graduating from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire he has enjoyed a diverse career in the theatre industry. He has worked as an actor in the UK and across the world, with companies including Tall Stories, TNT theatre and Kenny Wax Family Entertainment. He is an Associate Artist of The Pantaloons, working as an actor, musician, composer and director.

Mangled Yarn Theatre Company was set up by Neil Jennings and Christopher Smart in 2018, with an aim to bring high quality shows to audiences who wouldn't normally have much chance, if any, of seeing live theatre.

Using a combination of popular techniques, genres, comedy and live music, we bring to life the "challenging" texts, often ignored by non-regualr theatre going crowds.
